It’s always a pleasure to sample new and exciting teas. Recently I received four samples of POMxTea, the Antioxidant Super Tea from the folks at POM Wonderful. They grow and market pomegranates and pomegranate-based products that are healthy, honest and essential to the well-being of humankind.
POMx Tea is made from hand-picked, whole leaf tea, 100% pure fruit juices and POMx (which has more antioxidant potency than red wine, green tea, grape and acai extracts). Each serving contains less than 3mg of caffeine. POMx Tea comes in five unique flavors that are packaged in eco-friendly plastic bottles. The four samples I received are listed in order of preference.
Pomegranate Peach Passion White POMx Tea
Rating:

By far this is my favorite (I absolutely love everything peach). This antioxidant super tea contains delicately brewed white tea blended with natural peach, passion fruit and pomegranate juices. It was a hit with the rest of the family as well resulting in the highest rating of the four samples.
Pomegranate Wildberry Light POMx Tea
Rating:

This tea has lightly flavored berry undertones. Brewed from white peony tea buds and blended with berry and pomegranate juices, this tea is not only refreshing but energizing as well and contains only 35 calories per serving. You can tell by the rating that it was a hit and I couldn’t help purchasing more.
Pomegranate Blackberry POMx Tea
Rating:

Imagine drinking the juice of fresh ripe blackberries that have been carefully blended with brewed black tea and pure pomegranate juice! This is the taste you get with Pomegranate Blackberry POMx Tea; and unlike many black tea blends, this one has less than 1mg of caffeine per serving. Being quite partial to black teas, I couldn’t help but rate this tea highly.
Pomegranate Lychee Green POMx Tea
Rating:

This tea is an interesting blend of antioxidant rich pan-fired brewed green tea leaves, sweet lychee and pomegranate juice. Although refreshing and healthy, it was the least favorite with a slightly above average rating. If not for the pomegranate juice and brewed green tea, I’m not sure I would have liked it at all.

| Super antioxidant properties greater than acai or green tea alone. Light, delicious and refreshing with minimal caffeine. | Lychee flavor is not my cup of tea. |

You can purchase POMx Tea in the produce department of your local supermarket. Once you try it you’ll be hooked!

These sound like some nice fruit juice/tea mixes. Some of them are exotic, and that’s a plus. However, I’d caution that the trouble with fruit juices is they have a lot of calories but don’t have all the benefits of fruit for it, like fiber. Going with just tea alone is healthier. –Teaternity
