Grab your favorite cup and saucer, some spring water and a teaspoon or two of loose tea, and get ready for a lovely tea party for one. It’s a great way to relax and pamper yourself for a quiet moment in your favorite tea spot.
You don’t need a lot of equipment to make tea for one; but to truly enjoy pampered refreshment without the hassle and worry of straining the leaves; I have found that the IngenuiTEA pot by Adagio Teas is just the thing for 16 ounces of freshly brewed tea.
All you have to do is place the loose tea in the pot, pour 16 ounces of boiling water over the leaves and steep for a couple of minutes.
Next, place the pot on top of your teacup or mug and the hot tea will drain through the built-in strainer directly into your cup! My sister is fond of baking tea goodies from scratch; but when I want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily activities to have tea, I usually purchase baked goodies from my favorite bakery or gourmet shop.
To create a pampered atmosphere, I cover a tea table with a linen place mat or decorative tea cloth, place the tea goodies on a china plate, play my favorite classical CD, sit back in my favorite chair and enter into a blissful tea-filled state! Ah, the pleasures of tea for one!
