Fresh coffee syrup will give new meaning to any “coffee cake”. Just take a plain vanilla or lemon pound cake; poke a few holes in the top using a cooking fork or skewer; and then slowly pour freshly made gourmet coffee syrup over it while the syrup and cake are still warm. Yum!
