Gourmet Tea Jellies

tea jellyGourmet tea has been used in making all kinds of products, so why not tea jelly? Surprisingly, you can use these delicious dessert toppings on scones, tea cakes, bagels, croissants, crackers and muffins. Pair a tea jelly flavor with creamed cheese, nut butters and fruit preserves for a unique snack. Spread between layers of pound cake for a different twist to the traditional tea dessert.

Gourmet tea jellies are a blend of cane sugar, aromatic exotic spices like cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cardamom and black pepper; black, green, or chai teas; lemon juice and natural vanilla with rich and creamy notes.

Turn the ordinary into the extraordinary at your next afternoon tea event. The possibilities are endless.

I haven’t seen tea jellies available in the local groceries yet. Maybe I’ll see that someday. Or perhaps I’ll need to go to a specialty shop. At any rate, I think it’s a good treat on occasion.
