Spring is in the air and it’s time for those long leisurely strolls with your favorite canine friend. When you want to take a fresh coffee break, look for dog-friendly gourmet coffee shops that have an outside seating area where you and your dog can sip your favorite brews and rest awhile before resuming your walk.
One way to tell if a coffee shop may be dog-friendly is to look for casual dining chairs outside the shop instead of tables and umbrellas. But to be sure, contact your local gourmet coffee shop before you go just in case they do not offer this service or may have discontinued offering it because of complaints from customers who are not dog-friendly themselves.
Even when you find a spot, make sure to bring water and a treat for your dog to enjoy while you sip your brew, and please clean up any messes before you leave.
